Export from your old system
Download your contacts as a CSV file. From an iPhone, a vCard file works too. Pick your system below for where to look.
Open Setup, step 2
Go to Setup and open "Import your contacts". Agents who already finished setup can open it again anytime.
Upload the file
Drop the file in. RealtyMind reads the column names and works out which system it came from.
Read the summary
You get a short plain-English report: how many contacts came in, which duplicates were merged, and which rows need a look.
Check the flagged rows
People who share a phone or email but have different names are kept apart. Same name with nothing else in common is flagged as "may be the same person". You decide.

Where to find Export in your system
Open People, select the contacts you want (or all), and choose Export. You get a CSV with numbered email, phone and address columns, stage, tags, lead source and notes. We read all of it.
Open Contacts, select the contacts, and choose Export to CSV. Hashtags, agent notes and address fields come along. Old "Opt-in SMS" columns are saved as history only.
Use the contact export in your Lofty account to download a CSV. We match the columns by name.

Use the Outlook/CSV export. Notes come along with each contact.
LionDesk was retired on 10/31/2025. If you saved an export before then, upload that file.
On a computer, go to iCloud Contacts, select all, and export as vCard. Upload the .vcf file as is.
In Google Contacts, choose Export and pick Google CSV. Labels come in as tags.
Export your contacts to a CSV file (comma separated values) from Outlook. Categories come in as tags.
Save it as CSV. Name the columns in plain words, in English or Spanish, like Name, Phone, Email or Nombre, Teléfono, Correo.
Menu names change over time. If you cannot find Export, search your system's help for "export contacts".
Every contact comes in with texts and AI calls off. An old opt-in checkbox is saved as history only. Every opt-out from the old file, like a Do Not Call column or tag, comes in as a hard block that stays even when duplicates merge. To turn on texts and AI calls, the person opts in again, for example from your website form or an open house sign-in.
- Phone numbers are fixed to one format. A number with no area code is not kept, and the report tells you which row it was.
- Columns we do not recognize are saved with the contact, so nothing is lost.
- Deals, listings and call history need their own move-in. Those columns are kept on each contact for now.
Questions
What about duplicates?
Same phone or same email with matching names are merged. Gmail dots and +tags are ignored. Accents, ALL CAPS, nicknames like Bob and Robert, and small typos are handled.
