AI follow-up is only as good as three moments: the first reply, the hand-off to a person, and the rules it follows in between. Judge every option on those three.
Ylopo is known for digital ads, home search sites and AI that follows up with leads by text and voice. Its AI page (checked 11/01/2026) describes AI Text conversations and AI Voice calls that run for months and transfer hot leads to agents. Many teams like it. Others start shopping because they want the AI to answer inbound calls too, want fewer separate tools, or want follow-up and deals in one place. This is a fair checklist for comparing AI lead follow-up, whichever way you go.
RealtyMind is not affiliated with Ylopo. Details about it come from its own website, checked 11/01/2026, and can change. Confirm anything important with the vendor.
Why follow-up matters so much
Most buyers do not shop around for an agent for long. In NAR's 2025 Home Buyers and Sellers Generational Trends report, 75% of buyers interviewed only one agent before choosing. A widely cited Harvard Business Review study of web leads across industries found that only 37% of companies replied within an hour. Put those together and the case for fast, steady follow-up is clear. The harder question is how it is done: by text only, by voice, by a person, or some mix, and with which rules.
Seven things to check
Outbound, inbound or both
Ylopo's AI page (checked 11/01/2026) describes two parts: AI Text, which holds two-way text conversations with leads around the clock, and AI Voice, which calls new leads, autodials many leads a day and follows up over a 90 day window. The page we checked describes outreach to leads. It does not say whether the AI answers a buyer who calls your line. Ask every vendor both questions: does your AI call my leads, and does it answer when they call me?
The hand-off to a person
Ylopo's page promises "Live transfer to agent when hot," with call notes and outcomes sent to your CRM. That is the moment that wins or loses the client. Ask each option how it decides a lead is ready, how fast your phone rings, what happens if you do not pick up, and what notes you see before you say hello.
Consent and calling hours
AI calls and texts are covered by federal telemarketing rules, and many states add their own. The pages we checked did not describe how consent is tracked. Ask every vendor where consent is stored, whether AI calls go only to people who opted in, which hours it calls, how STOP works and whether a recording notice plays. Our guide to AI calls and consent covers the basics.
Languages
Ylopo's voice update post, dated 01/04/2024 (checked 11/01/2026), listed Spanish as coming soon at the time. That may have changed since. If you serve Spanish-speaking clients, ask each vendor for a live call in Spanish today.
Add-on or system of record
Ylopo says its AI integrates with your CRM. An add-on can be a smart choice if you love your CRM. It also means two systems, two bills and data passing between them. Ask where the conversation history lives, who owns it and what happens to it if you cancel one side.
What happens after "yes"
Following up is only the first step. Ask what happens once a lead is ready: who books the showing, whether the system checks for a signed buyer agreement first, and whether the deal, paperwork and split end up on the same record.
Price and trial
Ylopo's AI page offers a way to start for free and links to a separate pricing page. Ask every vendor for the full monthly number for your team, including texting, calling minutes and any setup fees.

How to test AI follow-up in one week
Demos are polished. Your own leads are not. Run this short test on any option during a trial, using a phone number that is not already in the system.
- Day 1: Fill out your own web form as a buyer and time the first reply.
- Day 2: Call the main line at 9 PM and see who, or what, picks up.
- Day 3: Reply "STOP" and check that every message ends.
- Day 4: Ask a pricing question and confirm it goes to an agent.
- Day 5: Say you are ready to tour and watch the hand-off.
- Day 6: Write in Spanish and see whether the reply comes back in Spanish.
- Day 7: Open the lead record and check that every call, text and note landed in one place.
Where RealtyMind fits
RealtyMind is one option, built AI-first, where follow-up, phone, listings, deals and splits share one system. It is in private pilot today. From our features page:
- Sofia, the AI front desk, answers calls and texts on the brokerage and agent lines 24/7 with real two-way voice conversations, in English and Spanish.
- Calls back in minutes, only if they opted in. Follow-up continues until the lead answers or opts out, then stops.
- Warm transfers. When a hot lead is on the line, Sofia connects them to you live with notes: budget, timeline and the home they love.
- Rules built in. A recording notice on every call, STOP right away, polite hours that default to 9 AM to 7 PM, and no showing before a signed buyer agreement.
- Everything after "yes." Tess runs the file from contract to closing, and splits and statements live in the same system.
Free trial, free move-in of your data, no setup fee, month to month. Pricing is announced at launch.

Common questions
Is Ylopo a bad choice?
No. It is a well-known option for ads, home search sites and AI follow-up by text and voice. Shopping around makes sense if you want AI that also answers inbound calls, or fewer separate tools.
Does Ylopo's AI answer inbound calls?
The Ylopo AI page we checked on 11/01/2026 describes outbound calls and texts to leads. It did not say whether the AI answers inbound calls, so ask Ylopo directly.
Does RealtyMind's AI call leads?
Sofia calls back in minutes only if the person opted in, says the call is recorded, follows set hours and stops the moment they reply STOP. She also answers inbound calls 24/7.
How much does RealtyMind cost?
Pricing is announced at launch. Planned at launch: a free trial, free move-in of your data, no setup fee and month to month.
