Leaving a lead platform is really two decisions: who answers your leads now, and where your website and data go. Answer both before you compare features.
BoomTown is a long-running platform for teams and brokerages. Its homepage lists an intelligent CRM, IDX websites, expert lead generation, a mobile app and a service called Success Assurance (its own site, checked 11/01/2026). Plenty of teams build their business on it. Others start shopping because they want AI to take on more of the follow-up, want a different pricing model, or want deals and splits in the same system as their leads. This guide gives you a fair way to compare, without the hype.
RealtyMind is not affiliated with BoomTown. Details about it come from its own website, checked 11/01/2026, and can change. Confirm anything important with the vendor.
When teams start looking
Most teams do not switch because something broke. They switch because the business changed. Common reasons we hear:
- Leads come in at night and the team wants a real conversation, not just a text, when a buyer calls.
- The team grew, and routing, response times and accountability need to be clearer.
- Agents juggle a CRM, a dialer, a paperwork tool and a splits spreadsheet, and nothing talks.
- The broker wants one place to see leads, deals and compliance across every office.
If none of these sound like you, staying put may be the right call. If two or more do, the checklist below will help.
Seven things to check
Who works your leads, and when
BoomTown pairs its software with people. Its homepage describes Success Assurance, with Lead Concierges who monitor and engage leads (boomtownroi.com, checked 11/01/2026), and its Why it works page (checked 11/01/2026) says the service qualifies and engages leads "24/7, 365" on the agent's behalf. If you leave, decide who takes over that job: your team, a service or an AI. Then ask each alternative exactly how it handles a lead at 11 PM on a Saturday.
AI that talks or AI that texts
The BoomTown pages we checked describe a predictive CRM and a fit score that ranks how likely a lead is to transact. Alternatives often lead with AI instead. Ask what the AI really does: drafts messages for you, texts on its own, or answers the phone and holds a real conversation. Ask to hear a live call.
Website and IDX
BoomTown lists IDX websites as part of its platform. Moving off it usually means moving your site too. Ask every alternative who builds the new site, whether your lead forms keep working, and what happens to the pages that bring you search traffic today. Also ask what MLS data each one can show, since that depends on a signed MLS license.
Packages and real cost
BoomTown's homepage shows tiered packages called Launch, Core, Grow and Advance, with a page to compare them. It did not show prices when we checked. Ask every vendor for a written quote that lists the seat, the website, lead generation, ad spend, texting and any concierge or service fees, so you compare the full monthly number.
The phone app
BoomTown lists a mobile app called NOW that sends alerts about the most active leads. Whatever you pick, test the app on a busy day. Can you see the lead, call, text, move a deal and send homes without a laptop?
Deals, paperwork and splits
Lead platforms focus on the top of the funnel. Ask whether contract dates, documents, broker review and commission statements live on the same record as the lead, or in another tool someone has to keep in sync.
Compliance that runs on its own
Ask for consent tracking before AI calls or texts, quiet hours, STOP that works right away, recording notices, the brokerage name on every message and a fair housing check on AI-written ads. Our guides to AI calls and consent and fair housing wording cover what to test.
Score your current setup
The kinds of alternatives
"Alternative" can mean replacing everything or just the part that slows you down. These categories are general, so check each product for its current features.
| Category | Examples | Good for | Ask about |
|---|---|---|---|
| All-in-one platforms | Lofty, BoldTrail, RealtyMind | One login for CRM, site, leads and marketing | What the AI does on calls; contract length |
| Lead CRMs | Follow Up Boss, Sierra Interactive, Real Geeks | Lead management and integrations | Which add-ons you will still need |
| AI texting add-ons | Ylopo AI, Structurely | Following up on leads by text | Voice calls, hand-off, consent tracking |
| Transaction tools | SkySlope, Dotloop, Lone Wolf | Contracts, e-sign, broker review | How it connects to your CRM |
Our fair checklists for Follow Up Boss, BoldTrail and Sierra Interactive go deeper on several of these.
A clean way to switch
- Export first. Download contacts, notes, tags, deals and opt-out lists before you give notice.
- Plan the website. List the pages that bring in leads and make sure each one has a home on the new site.
- Point every lead source. Portals, ads and forms should all land in the new inbox on day one.
- Decide who answers. If a concierge service handled your leads, set up the replacement before the old one stops.
- Run both side by side. Cancel only once you have checked everything in the new system.
Where RealtyMind fits
RealtyMind is one option, built AI-first, with the lead inbox, phone, listings, transactions and splits in one system. It is in private pilot today. From our features page:
- Sofia, the AI front desk, answers calls and texts 24/7 with real two-way voice conversations, qualifies buyers and sellers, books showings and warm-transfers hot leads to your phone.
- One lead inbox. Zillow, Realtor.com, Homes.com, Facebook, your site and open houses land in one place and route by area, price, language and agent load. Follow-up stops the moment a lead replies.
- Ivy, the AI marketer, writes listings and posts in your brokerage's voice, and a fair housing check runs before anything posts.
- Tess, the AI transaction coordinator, runs the file from contract to closing, and commission splits and statements live in the same system.
- Compliance stays on. AI calls and texts only to people who opted in, STOP right away, a recording notice on every call, and no showing before a signed buyer agreement.
Free trial, free move-in of your data, no setup fee, month to month. Pricing is announced at launch.

Questions to ask every vendor
- Who replies to a new lead at night, and how fast?
- Can I hear your AI answer a call right now?
- What does one seat include, and what costs extra?
- What is the total monthly cost for my team, with ad spend and services?
- What is the minimum term, and how do I cancel?
- Who rebuilds my website, and do my lead forms keep working?
- How do I export everything if I leave?
Common questions
Is BoomTown a bad choice?
No. It is a long-running platform with a CRM, IDX websites, lead generation and a lead concierge service. Shopping around makes sense if you want AI to do more of the follow-up or want fewer separate tools. Use the same checklist on every option.
What replaces BoomTown's Success Assurance if I leave?
Decide that before you switch. Options include your own team, an outside service or an AI front desk. Whatever you pick, test how it handles a lead at night and on weekends, and confirm it follows consent rules.
Can I move my BoomTown contacts to RealtyMind?
If you can export it, we can move it. Free move-in of contacts, deals, listings, notes and documents is planned at launch, and people who opted out stay opted out.
How much does RealtyMind cost?
Pricing is announced at launch. Planned at launch: a free trial, no setup fee and month to month.
