Sierra Interactive alternatives: a fair checklist for 2026

Sierra Interactive pairs an IDX website with a lead CRM and a built-in dialer. If you are comparing it with other options, here is a fair checklist and the questions to ask every vendor.

Before you switch What to check

Sierra is built around getting leads from your own website. The real question is what happens after the lead arrives, and how much of that work the software does for you.

Sierra Interactive describes a CRM that pulls leads from your IDX website, landing pages, ads, Zillow, Realtor.com and your sphere into one dashboard, with routing by price, location, property type and round robin, a built-in dialer, texting and a free mobile app for iPhone and Android, per its CRM page (checked 11/01/2026). The FAQ on that page says plans start at $399 a month and include an IDX website, the CRM and automated follow-up. Many website-first teams are happy with that. Others look because they want AI that handles phone calls, want contracts and splits in the same system, or want fewer separate contracts. This guide gives you a fair way to compare.

RealtyMind is not affiliated with Sierra Interactive. Details about it come from its own website and help center, checked 11/01/2026, and can change. Confirm anything important with the vendor.

Seven things to check

What the AI actually does

Sierra's AI follow-up tool is called Lead Engage. Its help center article (checked 11/01/2026) describes an AI assistant that nurtures leads through two-way text conversations for up to 12 months, and says: "Once a lead responds, your agents take over." The same article is upfront about limits: Lead Engage is not available on IDX-only accounts, you cannot customize the AI's replies, and Spanish support is not as complete as English. Sierra's article on real estate AI features (checked 11/01/2026) also names DraftAI for listing and local content, and Radius Search for property search. Texting a lead and talking to a caller are different jobs. Decide which one you need, then ask every vendor to show it live.

What is in the plan, and what costs extra

The same help article lists Lead Engage as a paid subscription with a 12-month commitment, priced separately from the base plan. It also says texts are billed by segment, and that texts that do not get delivered, such as messages to landlines, still count toward your allotment. For every option, write down the base plan, the AI follow-up, dialer minutes, text volume, extra users and any ad management, then compare totals rather than headline prices.

Your website and where listing data comes from

Sierra puts a lot of weight on its websites. Its solutions page (checked 11/01/2026) lists several IDX site designs, community pages, unlimited listing and market report pages, and work to help sites get cited by AI assistants like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. If your website is your main lead source, compare that part carefully. Ask every vendor how listing data reaches the site, which MLS licenses they hold in your market, and who keeps the domain and content if you leave. Our guide to IDX and MLS data basics explains the terms.

Follow-up that does not double up

Sierra's help article notes that Lead Engage can run alongside Action Plans and manual texting, which can send overlapping messages to the same lead. That is honest, and it is true of most stacked tools. Ask every vendor how all automated touches stop once a lead replies.

Compliance that runs on its own

Sierra says the first Lead Engage message includes compliance language that cannot be removed, and that agents and managers are told when a lead opts out of texts. Ask every vendor the full list: consent before AI calls or texts, quiet hours, opt-outs that work right away, recording notices, fair housing checks on AI-written listings and ads, and the brokerage name on every message. Our guides to fair housing wording and consent rules for AI calls cover what to test.

Deals, paperwork and splits in one place

Sierra's solutions page is organized around the CRM, websites, lead generation and ads. Transaction management is not one of the products it lists, so ask how contracts, documents, broker review and commission splits connect to the lead record, and whether anyone will be copying data between systems.

The move-in, the training and the move-out

Sierra lists online courses through Sierra Academy, live Q&A sessions and a help center. Ask every vendor what onboarding looks like for your agents, who moves your contacts, notes, tags, deals and drip campaigns, and whether people who opted out stay opted out. Then ask the opposite question: how do you export everything if you leave, and in what format?

Where RealtyMind fits

RealtyMind is one option, built AI-first, with the lead inbox, phone, listings, transactions and splits in one system. It is in private pilot today. Here is what is in it, from our features page:

  • Sofia, the AI front desk, answers calls and texts on the brokerage and agent lines 24/7 with real two-way voice conversations, in English and Spanish. She qualifies buyers and sellers, books showings once a signed buyer agreement is on file, and warm-transfers hot leads to your phone.
  • One lead inbox. Zillow, Realtor.com, Homes.com, Facebook, your site and open houses land in one place and route by area, price, language and agent load. Follow-up stops the moment a lead replies.
  • Leo, your AI assistant, takes a call or text from the car: "What's my day?" or "Send the Kaplans the three condos."
  • Ivy, the AI marketer, writes listings and posts in your brokerage's voice, and a fair housing check runs before anything posts.
  • Tess, the AI transaction coordinator, builds the timeline from the contract, chases signatures and files the folder for broker review. State forms come from a licensed forms provider, with e-sign, and commission splits and statements live in the same system.
  • Compliance stays on. AI calls and texts go only to people who opted in, STOP works right away, calling hours default to 9 AM to 7 PM, Sofia says the call is recorded, and every ad shows the brokerage name.
Planned at launch

Free trial, free move-in of your data, no setup fee, month to month. Pricing is announced at launch.

One honest note for website-first teams: RealtyMind includes home search for brokerage and agent sites, with plain-English search, saved searches and alerts, but it is not connected to a live MLS feed yet. If your IDX site drives most of your leads today, keep it running while you test. Sierra Interactive is one of the common starting points on our switching page, and your old system keeps running until you are sure.

Questions to ask every vendor

  1. Can I hear your AI answer a call right now?
  2. Does your AI send messages on its own, or draft them for me to send?
  3. Which AI features are live in my account today, and which are coming later?
  4. What does one seat include, and what is an add-on?
  5. What is the total monthly cost for my team, with every fee?
  6. What is the minimum term, and how do I cancel?
  7. How do I export all my data, and in what format?
  8. Who moves my data in, and do opt-outs carry over?

Common questions

Is Sierra Interactive a bad choice?

No. It is a lead CRM built around IDX websites, with a built-in dialer, texting and a mobile app. Shopping around makes sense when you want AI on phone calls, or want paperwork and splits in the same place. Use the same checklist on every option.

Can I move my Sierra Interactive data to RealtyMind?

If you can export it, we can move it. Sierra Interactive is one of the common starting points on our switching page. Free move-in of contacts, deals, listings, notes and documents is planned at launch, and people who opted out stay opted out.

Does RealtyMind replace my IDX website?

Not yet. RealtyMind includes home search for brokerage and agent sites, but it is not connected to a live MLS feed yet. Many teams keep their current site running side by side while they test.

How much does RealtyMind cost?

Pricing is announced at launch. Planned at launch: a free trial, no setup fee and month to month.

Do I have to cancel my old system first?

No. Keep it running side by side and cancel only once you have checked everything in RealtyMind.
